LP#1 Jim Bakker - How To Accomplish The Impossible (1977)

Hey, here come my first modest contribution to the vinyl sharity community : a full LP rip and high-def' scans for the cover art. Please not that Easy Share web hosting provide a limited hosting time of the uploaded files : 1 month after the last download.

I've found this spoken word record at Emmaüs sharity shop, This one was THE FOUND of the week-end, maybe first because it is quite unusual to found audiobooks or spoken word records in ENGLISH here in France ! (especially that kind of christian blah blah preacher speach, then the cover art is great ;-), and of course the purpose of this record :

I also want to mention the “Clear the Room” compilation, a glorious collection of some of the worst music imaginable, as describe by the author. HILARIOUS ! I can't wait for "clear the room vol.2"...

Tribute to Chenard Walker

I was reading on WM recordings website that
"Chenard Walker a friend of the online music world, is slowly recovering from a diabetic coma. His brother reports that he is not physically suffering. He fell into the coma in September, and is now working on speech development and object differentiation
Chenard is the prolific visual and musical collage artist who operates the Free Sample Zone with 58 releases available for download."
WM recordings are looking for some artists who would like to remix Chenard music in order to realise a tribute compilation.

Jacob Smigel's Eavesdrop project

EAVESDROP : a wealth of found sound (80 min. on one CD) Curated by Jacob Smigel.
Eavesdrop is a collection of anonymous recordings found by Jacob Smigel at thrift stores, yard sales, and in trash bins over the past four years. Smigel waded through audio or micro-cassettes, 8-Tracks and home-recorded records to find tape letters, telephone conversations, audio diaries, weird field recordings, amusement of children,fights/crying, etc...
Eavesdrop focuses exclusively on this type of material, and instead of adding music to the clips Smigel served as preservationist (or curator) to present the listener with the most powerful recordings in their natural state. “Some are funny, some are ridiculous, others make no sense,” said Smigel, “and a few are so ‘perfect’ I can't believe I actually found them.”
Eavesdrop is 80 minutes, comprised of 40 tracks. The album includes 28 pages of track notes, transcripts, background information, and additional resources. Album art is a collage of found photos collected over the past two years. Each CD is stuff with unique found things.

Smoking Cigarettes

I've found this little hand-written paper in the street, here in Toulouse, and it's surprisingly written in english !
Yesterday i was sharing songs talking about cigarettes with a friend of mine who is actually, believe me or not, testing japanese cigarettes as a part time job ! So i decided to make this little compilation "Ma Copine Nicotine".
By the way, i should REALLY quit smoking !
