HIP - HOP " Most of the Old School Party Flyers were Designed By Buddy Esquire and Phase 2. Phase 2 was a real big Aerosol Artist who wrote on allot of the NYC Trains who also did a majority of the Party Flyers back then. Buddy Esquire was a regular Artist who did allot of party flyers as well.
These Cats Worked on big Art tables and had all the tools to make these flyers by hand including those Rub on Letters, wax Machines, exacto knives, Graph Paper and many other tools that are extinct today in the modern artwork world. Georges Montalba - Fantasy in Pipe Organ and Percussion (1958) It sounds like an obscure fantasy to me, with titles such as Danse Macabre, Ritual Fire Dance, Theme From Scheherazade. And it becomes an even more obscure record when i read that Anton Lavey "could be" behind this record. Read more about the controversy here (churchofsatan.com) here (villagevoice.com). Nevertheless, it has been a commercial argument for my local vinyl record seller! -- DOWNLOAD it now.
" Yesterday at the flea market I picked up a small cosmetics case stuffed with photos almost all of which were of the same woman. The bulk of the photos were photobooths and portraits documenting her as she aged over the course of about 50 years or so. (...) the dates where available are underneath each photo. Given the date of the first photo I figure she was born in late 1937 or early 1938. The last photo dates from the early 90s so she's somewhere in her early-to-mid 50s there. " Brothers Santo & Johnny Farina were born in Brooklyn, New York of Italian origin. In 1958 Mike Dee & The Mello Tones (Santo Farina, steel guitar; Johnny Farina, guitar and their uncle Mike Dee, drums) recorded a self-penned instrumental which they called "Deep Sleep". Loosely inspired by the song "Softly, As In The Morning Sunrise (Sigmund Romberg 1929), it had the same chord progression but a much simpler melody line. "Deep Sleep" became "Sleep Walk" and in August 1959 it topped the American charts. "Sleep Walk" continues to be one of the most popular and easily recognised instrumentals of all time."
